About the Journal

Journal of Applied Technology and Downstream Innovation (JATDI) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that bridges scientific discovery and practical implementation across the natural sciences, social sciences, health sciences, engineering, humanities, and law. The journal emphasizes translational and downstream research with demonstrable impact in industry, society, policy, and the environment.

We invite interdisciplinary contributions that support the commercialization and downstreaming of research outputs relevant to industrial advancement, community empowerment, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Focus & Scope

JATDI publishes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications spanning six disciplinary domains:

1. Agricultural and Biological Sciences — agrotechnology, plant breeding, soil science, food technology, agricultural engineering, biodiversity, biotechnology, and applied microbiology.

2. Animal Science and Aquatic Resources — livestock production, animal feed technology, aquaculture, marine science, and coastal resource management.
3. Engineering and Exact Sciences — civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and industrial engineering; applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and computational modeling.
4. Health Sciences and Medicine — clinical applied research, public health, pharmaceutical technology, medical devices, nursing, nutrition, and environmental health.
5. Economics, Business, and Social Sciences — innovation economics, technology commercialization, digital business, governance, public policy, and social innovation.
6. Law and Humanities — technology governance, intellectual property, digital and environmental law, cultural studies, linguistics, and cultural heritage technology.

The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary submissions that present downstream products or technology transfers, address the Sustainable Development Goals, or demonstrate clear pathways from basic research to applied outcomes.
